Our small family farm is located in Central Florida and follows regenerative and organic growing practices. We focus on heirloom crops like the complex and spicy Grove Pepper and the sugar sweet Florida Favorite Watermelon. Will aka Farmer Will is a 7th generation Florida farmer and has owned and operated this land for the last decade. Together we created Dirt Land, a non-profit that focuses on educating our youth in the ways of growing and making things by hand. We also are proud of our project the Dirtbag Farm and Seed Co that serves St Pete and Lakeland’s CSA weekly farm fresh herbs and vegetables. Our heirloom farm seeds are also available online. Every thing we sell is grown by us.

welcome to dirt land

Dirt Land is the home of our non-profit education project where we advocate playing (and working) in the dirt!

At Dirt Land we focus on teaching youth (and some adults too!) :

  • how to grow food using regenerative organic methods : including how to grow fruits, vegetables, herbs in the dirt. Heirloom seed saving. Soil health and maintenance. Growing with the seasons and more…

  • how to make traditional crafts from the land

  • how to prepare and preserve food

  • and more!

Currently, you can find our weekly zine about what is growing right now, bee facts, seed stories, recipes, and information on small farms around the St Pete and Lakeland area. It is distributed as a free resource among our community. You can also find us teaching classes in and around Central Florida. Complete calendar coming soon!

Wanna be a dirtbag? It’s easy, just get your hands dirty. Here’s how:

support local small farmers : buy their produce, follow their social media, make food with their produce and share it with your friends and family

grow something : a garden, a plant, an idea

be an active member of your community : support local business, go to local events, show up, be present, have fun
